Clarify… this HDTV’s are acting as monitors for 2 laptops do not support HDTV.. the monitors are on the wall in the hall and the first one shows the commander, and quarterly award winners and a few other things..  so the commander wanted another one to show policy letters and shit like that.. trust me.. nothing you would talk a double glance at.. just more shit to ignore

I have just completed hour number one of a three hour meetings going screen by screen of a new system that I am working to design training for.  The contractor that is working for me is going through this is the smallest of details and driving me insane.  After I burn my entire morning in this meeting I have 2 more.  This will require that I spend 3-4 hours at home tonight to catch up on all the things I was unable to complete today.

Oh yeah did I mention the other project that I received yesterday that has a 3 week deadline with no additional resources attached to it.  I am already over dispatched and they want me to complete more and more crap.  What else...did I mention that I have 4 more people that I supervise and they get small projects that I have to manage as well?  Oh and the specialist that I lost about a month ago is not getting replaced this year and we are not certain when they would be replaced if at all next year.

We talk about the need for resources and how we can’t take any more projects then I get slammed and then told we have no resources. No kidding?  Did I mention that my main competition for promotion has two projects, long timelines, and plenty of resources?  If he asks me one more dang question that I could care less about, I am driving across the street, buying two hand axes and a whetting stone…sharpen them up and follow him home to give him a real world example of Moral Decay.

Yeah, I would go with an 8lb Maul, but don’t sharpen it.  they work better dull cause remember...you are trying to split the skull, not cut it smile

And I’m with you on the resource thing.  As part of our company cost saving we are not backfilling any spots.  My office is pretty empty and when we move, we are losing more.  Gotta love the recession we are not techinically in.

the AF already let to many people go.. we have guys in networking, that got a choice, corss-train into another job or get out.. so they choose get out (after there enlistment is up) now there are WAY to many people getting out so they are giving people bonuses to go into that job now.. but they wont let the people who choose to get out stay in and work there job.. makes no sense (specialy if you dont understand what im saying)

it’s the way all companies go.  They give higher wages to the new people but leave the experienced ones working at what they signed for.  I have had two wage adjustments in the last 4 years because of this.  the last one in January was a good one smile

If the company, or in lynis’s case the AF, can save a buck or two on salary, they will.  Those guys may be getting a bonus, but they they may be getting a smaller salary.

Caveat...moron boy is now repeating my phrases and the crap I say.

Even had the nerve to suggest something for me to do that I had already outlined in a report he read.  I was calm and just said “Yeah, I had planned for that as outlined in the report you were to review.”

And no one uses ‘Kool and the Gang” as a positive phrase but me.  That is my stupid phrase and I retain all rights to it!!!!!!!!!!

All Idiots must be punished.  I had refrained but now I will have to publically rebuke him.  I have done it before and watched him crawl back into his shell.  I will have to do it again and remind him who’s the man.
