In regards to what to change in Indel:  Remember when the Sanctified blade was one of the best weapons in the game?  I vote for Lord Darin and the Sanc blade to get an Extreme Makeover.

Neutral Evil

A neutral evil villain does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. She has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or more noble. On the other hand, she doesn’t have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. The criminal who robs and murders to get what she wants is neutral evil. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. The common phrase for neutral evil is “true evil.” Neutral evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents pure evil without honor and without variation.

Chaotic Neutral

A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn’t strive to protect others’ freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. The chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). The common phrase for chaotic neutral is “true chaotic.” Remember that the chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom both from society’s restrictions and from a do-gooder’s zeal.

Since we’re talking about Indel, is it possible to get the Rage band looked at?  I understand the basic underlying premise behind how the rage works, but as hard as can be to get (especially since the scrolls no longer work in water and flameshield having been changed), and with the AC penalty, could it be bumped up a little?

Lord Vladimus guards the entrance to something dear to me.  However, it’s not always possible to have the people necessary to get it.  This isn’t going where you think it is:  Is it possible to put something on his person, or make him a quest omega that makes people WANT to kill him?  Some really neat item or trinket that the denizens of MD would just DIE for.  *cackling*

Speaking of Lord Vlad, is it possible to save poor Adela?  Perhaps escort her to safety?  It bothers me that I have to put a hammer through her six-year-old head in order to leave.

BTW- I love Skra’al’s new Mr. T look.

Yes to Rage Band ... I have plans . . .
Maybe to Lord Vlad (pending an idea of what to add)
It’s possible to change things to save Adela ... we’ll see.

For the area in Indel, it’ll be a ~24-room area of level ~18 good-aligned NPCs, centered around a Hospitaler mission, under the auspices of a relatively unknown lawful-good god, Tyr.  [As an aside, have you ever wondered what your own alignment is?  Take a quiz and see ...] I should be able to open the new area by the beginning of summer vacation, unless I get too distracted by some other shiny object ... oooo, keyyys . . . . !

ohh some necro love

I’ve cleaned out lots of old bugs across the bug, after finishing my new area outside Candera, so now I’ll be back looking at Indel. The three things that I’ve added “recently” to Indel are the dire wolves, the Solarium in NE Indel, and the myconid area.

I’m looking to add something now, suitable for high-level XP . . .

I’m going to add a 3-level “dungeon” (probably a cave-system) wherein the first level is suitable for a solo omax’ed Aristo, the second level will take a pair of overmax’ed Aristos, and the third level will require more than that ...

Any ideas for inhabitants?

I was going to do pirates, but they’ve already been done in Indel. So what’s Plan B? Are there races/ monsters/ NPCs that you’d love to kill, but they don’t exist on MD? Think about Neverwinter Nights or Diablo or games like that. Do you want to kill gnolls? We’ve got kobolds now (that few have ventured in to kill). How about some ... what? Troglodytes? What do you want to kill?

If you need inspiration, take a look at http://drop.io/g2gcajj
BUY a copy if you’re interested . . . don’t steal smile

Sitting, enjoying a Guinness after walking the seven miles across San Francisco from the Pacific to the bay, I had a stroke of genius! In the next area for Indel, Stephen King comes to MD . . .

It’s such a good idea, I almost don’t want to waste it on crappy Indel; it belongs in a better city. Oh well, it fits the location perfectly, so this is where it shall go.
