Blaeris

The “Dark Maiden” is the goddess of good drow - those very few who exist.  These drow yearn to return to the surface world and live amongst the rest of their elven brethren.  Blaeris is a goddess of song and beauty; she is worshipped by song and dance - preferably in the surface world, under the stars and moonlight of the night.

Despite being a goddess of song and beauty, Blaeris is a sad and melancholy figure - hence her honorific of the “Dark Maiden”. Her melancholy stems from the overriding presence of evil and malice among the drow.  When one of her worshippers is harmed or in danger, Blaeris is quick to help in a small, practical manner that is not easily traced back to her.  Blaeris does not have the followers or the power to face the others of the drow pantheon in open combat.

Blaeris’ Avatar takes the form of a glossy-skinned female drow, nine feet in height with ankle-length, sweeping hair of glowing silver.  Whenever Blaeris, or her avatar, appears, she is surrounded by a silver aura and is always perceived as beautiful - even when angry.  Blaeris is symbolized by a harp.
