CFH

CFH was originally a trio from Virginia; Skull, Makiel and Malal.  It was not initially intended to be a true clan, as the player base was fairly small and player-killing wasn’t a threat.  CFH engaged in a war with the Danes in 1997 before Skull and Makiel’s retirement from the game.

Malal rebuilt CFH in 1999 as a true clan to include players such as:  Darkchild, Edge, Snake and Lynis.  The player base was such that it could support warring clans and the climate was rather violent.  At this time CFH had rather strong political ties with both the remaining Danes and Hawaiians.  This ultimately led to an altercation with Legio Luciferum and some Demons, as CFH was supporting the return of an older player as his then current incarnation; the thief Alithras

In response to the mounting political tensions between the two groups and, at that time, lack of numbers on the CFH side, the CFH leadership decided, during a boot while large numbers of Legio Luciferum allies were playing, to initiate the first strike.  The plan was to keep them on the defensive and maintain control of the war.  Although largely successful in the beginning, the war ended in a draw, though CFH succeeded in aristoing Alithras.

After a period of several months of relative calm, tensions began to build between Alithras and CFH’s Darkchild and Edge.  This was also influenced by the general public’s fear of Alithras, as he was a player-killer...and he was good at it.  Malal was absent at this time, and the bickering eventually became violent.  When Malal returned, the situation had become dire; hostilities were imminent.  After a few attemts at diplomacy, with brief periods of respite, there was war.  Malal, Darkchild and Edge again decided to control the battlefield with swiftness and violence of action.  There were nearly a dozen players from OSM who were willing to ally with CFH if the conditions were right.  Thus, it was decided to kill the seemingly unkillable:  Alithras‘ mage, Sorcere.  After Sorcere‘s death, the Danes, sworn allies of the Hawaiians, entered the fray.  CFH used a newly implemented tactic, guard, to deal harsh blows to the thief-heavy Hawaiians and Danes.  After a period of two months of deadly war, CFH left due to a disagreement with the administration over a change in the effectiveness of guard, which essentially turned CFH’s perceived strengths into weaknesses.

Although most CFH members have returned, the clan has officially disbanded.
