In the game Moral Decay, there are various types of damage that could affect you, (this list includes but is not limited to) such as:

Fire, Cold, Disease, Poison, Electricity, Psychic, Pure Magic, Physical, Acid, Death Magic, Asphyxiation, Dessication, Sonic Vibration, and Exhaustion.

Each race has resistances or weaknesses to certain Damage types and there are also certain items in the game that can increase your resistances.
