Druid


 

Druids are priests of nature, they love the outdoors and animals, and shun the crowded cities of Moral Decay. Druids have many spells which reflect their communion with nature, and they shun weapons and armour which are not made of natural materials or of unnatural strength, though they do not have any compunctions about using any of the various types of armour or weapons. Druids can enhance their magic using herbs found in wilderness areas, or by casting at a shrine which they may construct in the proper environment.

Noteworthy Druids include: Seribis, Rok, Anesthesia, Ylynder, Kira, Elbereth and Ayla.

(there are certain areas for newbie/midbie druids in the realms)

Pros:
-community type class (druids are able to help each other increase summoning/armor/weapon abilities)
-good party member
-ability to sober (yourselves and other targets)
-ability to charm (see Druid Spells) to control strong animals
-able to kill strong targets (if in the right location))

Cons:
-fighting ability/power is very random due to summoning being random
-much time spent on foraging
-much time spent on regrowing armor
-damage type spells not too strong even after using herbs
-gets injured easily (due to low armour class)
-spells have many requirements to be met before use

>Forage:
allows you to search the area for useful natural items

>Survey:
allows the druid to determine the terrain type of the area he/she is in

>Trade:
allows the druid to trade herbs to another druid
