Clerics dedicate their lives to the gods of Good, and in exchange, their prayers are answered by the gods - bestowing upon the cleric an element of divine power. When someone first joins the clerics, they have limited prayers. Before the tenth level, a cleric chooses to join the Priest or Paladin order, and from their prayers diverge from that point. All clerics, however, Acolyte, Priest, or Paladin, have the ability to call upon their god’s power using prayers. The prayers of those with the highest alignment are answered most forcefully.
Noteworthy Clerics include: Malal, Apocalypse, Arjuno, Goliath, Karnos, Toki, Tyrande and Funk.
Overall:
Pros:
-very high survivability (due to no armour restrictions, bless, protection and other prayers)
-good potential for damage at all levels
-sought after party members (bless)
-good against necromancers/undeads (turn)
-good set of prayers/skills that evolve (usually) as you get stronger
Cons:
-costly (due to alcohol/weapons/armours)
-restrictions on some enemies (alignment)
-restrictions on some weapons (clubs for priest, clubs and swords for pally)
-requirements for some prayers can be high (and complicated)
Priest:
Pros:
-good damage spells at high level
-greater healing/blessing abilities
-resurrection prayer that restores exp to players, who’ve died recently
-stronger protection prayer compared to pally
-party wide blesses
Cons
-high restrictions on prayers (resurrection)
-high restrictions on enemies (prayers dont work against good aligned)
Paladin:
Pros:
-easy to play
-good support abilities (Courage: Stun and Stun Protection)
-wider range of weapons (swords and clubs)
-personal damage buff (hallow sword)
-Warhorse
Cons:
-lacks high level offensive casting
-more expensive: must purchase Warhorse each boot
Tips:
-always drink the strongest alcohol you can (while blessed)
-always drink right after you cast bless on yourself
-never drink right before your bless ends
