Vanara
Vanaras are a race of monkeylike humanoids, possessing brave hearts and inquisitive minds. They are sometimes viewed with amusement or exasperation by other races, who find their personalities childish and irritating. They are curious in the extreme, often badgering people with questions, picking small items up to examine them, opening doors to see where they lead, and generally exploring places where the human sense of propriety and order would demand they not go. At the same time, they are incredibly loyal, quite brave when the situation requires it, and genuinely kind.
Vanaras are slightly shorter than humans. Their bodies are covered with light fur, ranging from white through light blue to brown and black. Their faces are distinctly monkeylike, with protruding muzzles, furred cheeks, and wide, lipless mouths. They have long, semiprehensile tails, long fingers and toes, and large round ears, but their arms, legs, and torsos are proportioned like those of humans. The vanara are common in the Hayashi Valley.
These tailed monkey creatures are extremely dextrous and spiritual.
They have similar vision to an Uruk-hai, similar physical resistances to a Shade, with no particular weakness except to death magic.
Vanara will find an easier time riding once mounted than other races.
A Vanara’s tail helps it balance so perfectly that as long as the tail is intact they will receive a +10 passive dex boost. That’s right, you can hit a dexterity level higher than a level 29 before you are even close to 20!
A Vanara has the ability to leapkick into the air at an enemy, accelerating for more damage each rebound as it hits numerous attackers in the same room.
