Warhorse

Paladin’s Warhorse

At level 10 Paladins acquire the ability to gain a Warhorse by speaking to Lord Gregor in the Cleric Guild Hall.

The Paladin’s Warhorse is a superior mount that gains experience with the player and acts as a level equivalent party member for the Paladin.  Newly acquired mounts are quite weak at low levels, but once leveled up they will surpass even dragon mounts.

Like most mounts, Warhorses have a charge attack.  Unlike most, they can Protect their rider and become active members in combat - both attacking every round and soaking up attacks from enemies.  Once a Warhorse reaches level 11 their rider will also receive a free critical hit with every charge.

Paladins should treat their Warhorses as active party members, applying the same blesses and buffs they’d otherwise place on themselves.  At level 19 Paladins gain the prayer of Battlemount which both heals and buffs their current mount.  Until level 19 a Paladin would do well to seek out a Blue Laen Staff to keep their mount in health.

After acquiring a Warhorse, they are retrieved from any Stables each boot for a fee.  If this mount ever dies you must return to Lord Gregor and request a new one for an extreme cost.
