Remember to store your money in banks!
The realms of MD are overrun with thieves both NPCs as well as players. Usually players wont steal money from you on purpose but NPCs usually steal from you as you go by them (such NPCs are the Quiet Halfling, Anshelm Orphan and the Masked Thief. So its advised to not carry too much money on you as well as keeping your money safe in a bank (where even if you were to die you would still have extra silver left in the bank).
Banks are guilds in MD that do what most normal banks do, they store money but instead of giving interest they have a “tax” if you go beyond a certain limit (usually the tax is very little though being like 3% everytime you withdraw or deposit).
